Nora Fatehi is the Host of the Show throughout the Season. MTV is coming up with new concept dating reality show Dating In The Dark from 8th June 2018. So, it will be interesting to see how the show will go on.

I really really have an aversion towards going back on dead horses here, but looks do matter, Yes, I'm talking about you're face. You didn't come across as enough of a slut. At the conclusion of each episode, the participants have an opportunity to see what the other houseguests look like before deciding whether to proceed with the romantic relationship or not.

MTV Dating In The Dark Audition 2018

Not sure if this show is aired on US and North American TV, but I've just been watching it. I really really have an aversion towards going back on dead horses here, but looks do matter, Yes, I'm talking about you're face. Initially, all six contestants have a group date in which they all sit at a table in the dark room exchanging names and getting to know one another's voices and personality types. After this date, each person can go on one-on-one dates with person s they want to know more about. One-on-one dates are also held in the dark room. Toward the end of the show, each person can pick one other that they would like to see in the light. This is done in the dark room with the two contestants standing at opposite ends; one contestant is shown to the other for the first time and vice versa. During this process the couple must remain silent. So, throughout the episode. This HB9 was playing push and pull with the guy who wasn't so good-looking, probably above average at best. She loved his personality, couldn't wait to see his LOOKS. Eventually, the light was shon over him, she started scringing and holding her head in shock. This is the same HB9 who kissed him in the dark? She also admitted to being shallow and that looks DO MATTER. Not only her, but several other girls had similiar reactions towards the guys in this episode. So, in a nutshell, the contestants had weeks on end to get to know eahcother in the dark, all went well until the lights came on. I had to swallow some spit for one of the guys as one of the HB9's he wanted to see packed her things and left. To me, that show sounds like it kinda stacks the deck against an average-looking guy. You're doing well, she's into you, and she's basically imagining you looking like Brad Pitt. Once you are revealed and you look like Jim Carrey, she's put off. In the real world, you may be behind because of you're looks, but your game can improve your chances. Has it really come to this? Let me tell you something, before Paradox closes this thread just like it should be. Yeah, I said it. It's hard to accept at first, but ALL of your reality TV shows are no more real than Seinfeld, CSI, or 24. Be a little bit more of a jackass this time. You didn't come across as enough of a slut. Give me a break. I feel like I'm telling a kid that there's no Santa Claus. The highlighted part is key here. Everyone thinks differently and for some people looks matter alot and for a variety of reasons. This girl basically admitted she is shallow. No lose to the guy. Usually what happens there too is the women build the men up in their minds into something they're not and naturally they can't hold in the disappointment when they see the face. I usually partially agree with alot of what you say her Just A Shot Away and I agree that most commercial reality shows near enough are scripted. However, I don't believe this show was. I feel it's more like a mini-Big Brother, where the audience get to see the REAL personalities of it's contestants. No scripts, no lines. Have you seen any episodes of the show? You can tell most of it isn't scripted, just by the gutted look of the guys who got rejected. In cliffnotes, it's about making connections and attraction WITHOUT seeing the opposite sex, once they have wined and dined, they get to choose who is most attractive to them, just by voice, tonality, personality and attraction - NOT VIEWING LOOKS YET. From what I've seen, most of the guys who got picked by the hotter women and even the ugly plain jane's where the better looking men. So dude, the only scripted thing about it was ONE guy not being single and just wanted some spotlight exposure who was already in an LTR. There are testimonials of the contestants who had been rejected, the couples that did get together who gave there reports on the aftermath etc. Why was this the case? If it were so scripted, why didn't majority of the average guys get picked by the hot women, even upon having attractive characteristics and personalities in the first place? So I guess, that means looks matter? One girl even started crying because she was shocked at how she was attracted to one contestant, but when eventually seeing him, was disappointed not only in his looks, but the way her percieved knowledge of looks matter weighed more than the personality in the end. We can't judge Ms. Theron for her choice... Some people just have different priorities, and Neo made his clear. These kinds of choices are made for a variety of reasons. I usually partially agree with alot of what you say her Just A Shot Away and I agree that most commercial reality shows near enough are scripted. You knew I was going to say this exact thing because Darwin's research hasn't changed. It would definitely ease my mind. Ok, the thing about reality shows is that they have commercials. Commercials bring revenue to the TV networks. The more people that watch their TV programs, the more they can charge companies to advertise during these programs. If nobody watches their programs, they don't get revenue. You think ABC is going to put their MONEY in the hands of people off the street who may or may not do things that sell ad space? You're being naive, Pachuco. Big Brother is scripted. The Real World is scripted. There was a lengthy casting process for this show, and the producers filmed the participants until they got the exact results they were looking for. If you're trying to somehow prove that you need to be good-looking to get girls or even that it helps any measurable amount, reality TV is really not the best medium to make your case. That's exactly why the script was written as such. The American public has these ideas in their minds about what women want and what men want and such. If a TV program goes against this, people don't buy into it, they don't watch it, and ABC doesn't get their money from Gillette, McDonald's, and J. Ever watch a cop show? That's the idea of police officers Americans have in their head. If they showed actual representations of this profession, nobody would be interested because it doesn't seem real. This isn't up for debate, man. Reality TV is as real as professional wrestling, and you sound ignorant arguing the contrary. I've just been watching it on youtube. What it has been a real eye opener is women reject men on looks but its not as simple as that. The type of look is just as important. In one case a guy charmed 3 women and they all rejected him. He was good looking and dressed in a suit but he looked too young mainly because he had a fancy slightly over the top haircut. How you dress etc can also say alot about you so in that sense judging people on looks is not as shallow as you might think.

The network has renewedwhich follows single men and women as they go through the dating process without actually seeing each other, Daily Variety Tuesday. Joining the other on the balcony signifies that the contestants both want to pursue a relationship; exiting the house through the front door signifies that they do not want to pursue a relationship. Are you glad that this show is coming back. I am HR officer at Venkys India Limited MNC in Allahabad. Later they will be brings into lights and would be great to see their Reactions. MTV Dating in the Dark is an Indian upcoming youth reality show which has been broadcasted on 8th June, 2018 on MTV India. Be a little bit more of a jackass this time.
